Abstract of program activity.:
This oppressive society systematically divides people targeted by racism and pits us against one another. None of us escape racism's effects, but we can do something about it. Learn how to tackle the confusions, anger, grief, and other emotional residue of racism and internalized racism that limit our effectiveness with each other in our efforts to transform society. This is a workshop for us to learn the simple but powerful process of engaged listening and emotional release (as used in Re-evaluation Counseling) to undo internalized racism and forge alliances to end racism.
