The state had lost its role as redistributors along with the neoliberalism. The change may come with the emergence of progressive governments coming from claiming social movements in Latin America. What role has the movements in LA had in changing power structures and pushing states to build new democratic and social rights? Which strategies have been successful? What can Europe learn from LA?
