Working for the eradication caste-based discrimination, a systemic denial of the human rights of people born into untouchable that subjugates the lives of approximately 270 million people globally in both private and public spheres - denial of equality before the law, lack of protection against violent attacks and other crimes, child labour and impunity for such crimes; also a major obstacle to achieving development goals. Women of caste-affected communities suffer triple discrimination - gender, class, caste. Globalisation and market developments have grave implications for caste-affected communities subjected to forced and bonded labour and other forms of gross exploitation in the labour market.
