Become a volunteer!

It's no longer possible to register online to be a volunteer. Please come to our cozy Volunteer Center on Annelundsgatan 55 in Sofielund, close to Enskifteshagen and register on location.
We need many more volunteers than we already have so please come and give us a hand in making ESF 2008 all that it can be!

Come and help us make this forum great! During the forum there will be
a need for hundreds of volunteers. The volunteers will play an
absolutely fundamental role in the building and coordination of the
forum venues. It's together that we make the forum a real meeting place
and make it possible to discuss how to make another world possible!
Here is how it will work to be a volunteer during ESF 2008:
- Work at
least three shifts (approx 6-8 hours long) spread over several days and we
will give you free mass-lodging (schools and campsites) for 4 nights (17,
18, 19, 20) and a forumpass that will give you free entrance to all ESF's
activities during all days. We will also provide two meals for the days
you are working – before and after your shift. You are of course more than
welcome to work more than the minimum – it's the volunteers that make the
forum possible!
- Work one
or more shifts (approx 6-8 hours long) and we will give you free entrance,
food and accommodation for the day/days you work.
- Become a
volunteer spontaneous during the forum! Come see us at the volunteer-centre
and we will give you something to do! We will give you two meals (before
and after your shift) plus entrance to ESF for the day you work.
What can you help us with?
During the forum we will need help with everything from taking care of children to helping out with the technology needed for interpretations and scenes for artists. There is a lot of work to do, but you will of course have time to enjoy the forum as well. You decide how much you want to contribute!
How does it work?
If you sign up as a volunteer we will offer you benefits. Exactly what you receive is dependent on how much you want to help out with and what you want to work with. The benefits can, for example, include food and accommodation in Malmö as well as free entry to the forum.
